This June, step into the Jurong Bird Park and be surrounded by an explosion of
colours and performances that promises to be a feast for the senses. First up is the popular Birds n Buddies Show, showcasing the largest collection of birds in a live interactive performance accompanied by colourful costumed characters on one stage.
The show’s cast of talented birds is guaranteed to bring about much excitement and laughs. Amigo, a yellownaped Amazon, will wow audiences with his amazing vocal rendition of a local Malay folk song, Rasa Sayang. And Vicky, the Great Pied Hornbill, will awe audiences with her aerial acrobatic loops and keen sense of sight.
The park’s resident love birds, Mr Horn and Mrs. Horn, will also make an appearance. They are a pair of Toco Toucans, which have been inseparable since they first met. Audiences can witness their loving ways, and admire their huge yellow-orange bills and striking black white plumage.
Adding comic relief to the show are the costumed Buddies, which represent the birds found in the park.
They are Toukie the Toucan, Pedro the Pelican, Vulcan the Vulture and Rocky the Penguin. The show also features flamingos, macaws, pelicans and more, all ready to amaze visitors with their feathered beauty and intelligence. The Birds n Buddies Show is staged daily at the Pools Amphitheatre at 11am and 3pm.
